St. Sebastian and friend

Another stab at and more practice with figure drawing. The guy on the left is a practice drawing from the Art Instruction School course. The attempt at the right is from Antonello da Messina's painting of St. Sebastian. I was focused on shadow and proportion and didn't even attempt the facial features (in good time, my friends... in good time).

Wow. These are terrific! You have already come a long way with these figure studies in just the past week.

Good for you for moving out of your comfort zone and tackling a new challenge. These drawings are very good!

I applaud you, it's not easy stepping outside the box and it's even harder when you are sharing it with the world.
Great results, lovely shading in the 2nd!
The human figure is addictive, probably because it is so complex and DIFFICULT. LOL!
Keep it at.

I with you on the faces bit. I need to do some more figures. Not a big weekend planned (other than a couple hours of work in there somewhere) so I may try doing a few.
