EDM #18 Room with a view

Thank goodness no trees moved during the making of this sketch! I was pleasantly surprised how some of the detail worked out in this image. The cold, wet, rainy, Cleveland winter view...

Hey there, Mark...this is awesome! :) I love the composition...the trees, the view from the inside out, the desk lamp...everything!! Great pen work!

I'm loving that the desk lamp (head) combined with the tree branch (arms) looks ready to be taking a bow.

Nice perspective and detail in this. I like how to view extends from the room through the window and into the outdoors.

I love the perspective in this drawing. It looks like some of your nature pics. Also, I see the combination of the desk lamp and the tree behind like something/someone triumphing. Is this a representation of yourself?

I can't say that there is any deeper meaning here than a sketch of the view from my art desk. It was an exercise in pen and ink, to work on details, to exercise my powers of observation. But yes, every image that I draw is a victory in a sense. The victory of overcoming the voices and demons of all those who say that art and creativity are a waste of time... worthless. This is for all the naysayers.
