Child's camera?

I drew this with nothing more than a felt-tip pen, my sketchbook paper... and my left hand! Yes, my non-dominant hand. I guess you can say that this drawing is from my inner child. Interesting how the voice of the inner critic was practically silenced during this exercise. Just scribbly lines with no worries about proportion or scale or vanishing points. Just scratching... just because.

It's a really freeing exercise. Try it if you dare!

Not bad for left hand. I sometimes try writing with my left hand and it is even worse than my right lol. :)

THis sketch has a wonderful free line quality, the same sort of thing that a good blind contour drawing has. Thanks for the inspiration to try!

This is a fabulous drawing. I'm inspired by your non-dominant hand drawing. I have done some, but it's been a while! :) I might have to try again soon!

You rock Mark...very cool. I did a nondominant hand drawing and also some writing and got terribly dizzy...but, then again, it's been said that I'm terribly "dizzy" anyway!! A great idea to share!

I'm amazed at all the comments about non-dominant hand art. I really hope that everyone takes a stab at it. It's like a whole new adventure!

What a good sketch, especially from your non-dominant hand.

I like your "child's" camera Mark:) I tried to do some handwriting last week with my non-dominant hand and I felt so relaxed. It's like my brain was off.
We should do it more often, just to check out the difference and quite our inner critic.

I like this. It does look very freeing. I think I may try it myself.

Thanks for visiting my site too.

This is MUCH better than I could ever do with my left hand -- what a fun exercise!

This is so cool, Mark! Now, I have to try it. Odd that it is so intimidating to me, isn't it?!
