Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboard

Ah, a feast for a king (well, maybe not in these kitchen shelves). Took a stab at a kitchen cabinet going left to right. Ugh! Hard to break old patterns and habits. Added a little colored pencil to the mix and came out with this. Although looking at it, I'm still not that hungry.

Hi, I am a new drawer too, having come from the same wanna desire you have. Nice to see another person just starting out.

I love what you have done, even the negative space sketch. I did a small exercise like that spelling out the word art and had trouble with it, as well. It felt odd, as though you were thinking backwards.

We all have to start somewhere, and I can't think of a better place to begin than the beginning -- although some days I try to jump in the middle. Then my feet get muddy and I slip and fall. So... back to the beginning.
